Testimonials

"JED is like a special after school club where kids can hang out, chill out, and have an all out blast! My 6-year-old son was not at all lost among the big kids. In fact, he now feels kind of special because a lot of older kids know him and say hi. The JED staff really seem to enjoy kids and know the kinds of activities that kids like. JED is like a dream 'rec room' for kids. Games, computers, toys, crafts, snacks along with friends and grown ups who are ready and willing to play!"
(Parent of kindergartener)

"My daughter often prefers JED over returning home to her sister and our nanny. This is because JED provides a very personable environment in which she can interact with her friends and the JED staff that is very committed to her after school experience."
(Parent of a kindergartener)

"We have found the JED program second to none in our experience with a variety of ways to have our seven-year-old son engaged, motivated and happy. The quality of JED's staff is unbeatable."
(Parents of a 1st grader)

"My daughter was only in kindergarten when she started JED. I was nervous about having her be the youngest there, but she loved it from the beginning. The staff makes sure that kids have age appropriate activities and they monitor the interactions well. My daughter is an only child and she has developed friendships with many older children at JED and has learned great social skills."
(Parent of a 1st grader)

"Unlike other early morning/extended day programs which I've experienced, JED provides guided play which engages the children without dismissing the job as merely a babysitting activity, and without losing control of the children. Not only do the children like and respect the instructors, but they respect each other. JED is a wonderful complement to Janney, and one which I and my child will miss when we graduate 6th grade."
(Parent of a 4th grader)

"My daughter has been in JED since kindergarten and absolutely loved it. She's on her way to fifth grade and still wants to go because all her best friends are there! Plus homework help! The staff have been wonderful with her."
(Parent of a 4th grader)

"JED is not merely the most reliable child care we have ever had, it is a warm and caring extension of the Janney family, always there for us and for my son. The staff is so wonderful, they know his ups, his downs, his joys and difficulties ... they are there for the bruised knee and to show him how to get over the bruised ego. JED is simply the best."
(Parent of a 5th grader)

"My son has been attending JED since first grade, and is now in fifth grade. As an only child, JED is for him another family, where he has so many brothers and sisters (he says). He told me, when he was in 2nd grade, that I wasn't 'allowed' to show up at JED before 5:30 p.m. because I will make him miss all the fun and spoil his day! He asked me recently if he will be able to attend JED when he goes to Deal Junior High School.

"Personally, I think that the kids need a change from the school environment after school. JED location is convenient. JED staff is reliable: 1) If I am going to be delayed to pick up my son, I just have to call them to let them know how late I will be, and there is always someone there to cover for the extra time. 2) They help with the homework and tell the parents when the child will need extra help at home. 3) My son has never had a complaint about any staff, and he wishes that JED could run a summer camp so that he could be with them for summer too."
(Parent of a 5th grader)

"By sending my daughter to JED I know that she is in a safe, structured, and fun environment. The staff are great at being involved with the kids. There are so many things to do. I'm not a popular mom if I show up too early to pick up my daughter. And her homework is almost always done when I pick her up."
